Biography & Why join the UXPA Boston Board of Director

My name is Sarah Wilkins and I’m the Founder of TA-DA, a staffing consultancy that builds dynamic product design teams with purpose. I am writing to express my sincere interest in serving on the Board of Directors for UXPA Boston. As someone deeply committed to Boston’s design community, I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to contribute my skills, experience, and passion to further the mission and goals of your organization.

I have been working in the creative space on both the agency as well as client-side for 20+ years specifically in UX design. Two notable career highlights include: the launch of a CreativeGroup Division for Robert Half in San Diego, CA, which grew to a million dollar operation within a year of opening. More recently, IBM’s in-house design agency, IBMiX, brought me in as their Principal Talent Acquisition partner to recruit and manage top-level creatives for designated positions in their 8 studio locations. I was the trusted business partner for hiring managers throughout the recruiting processes, led portfolio reviews and assessments, and applied a design-thinking approach to staffing resulting in an enriched candidate and stakeholder experience. In addition to my professional background, I have had the privilege of sitting on the Board of Directors for AIGA’s Boston Chapter from 2009 – 2012. During my time with AIGA, I was responsible for membership drive and engagement as well as community outreach to maintain current members in addition to attracting new prospects.

I am genuinely excited about the prospect of collaborating with like-minded individuals who share a dedication to human-centered design. I am confident that my unique perspective, strategic mindset, and ability to foster meaningful relationships will complement the existing board members and contribute to the continued success and growth of UXPA/Boston. I am committed to fulfilling the responsibilities of a board member with integrity, diligence, and accountability. I understand the importance of effective governance and am prepared to actively participate in board meetings, committees, and any other initiatives that may arise.

Thank you for considering my candidacy for the Board of Directors. I am eager to bring my energy, expertise, and commitment to UXPA/Boston and contribute to its continued success. I welcome the opportunity to discuss how I can best support your organization’s mission and vision.
