Fiona Tranquada
Vice President: 2016–2017; Secretary: 2011–2015; Board Member: 2011–2017

Fiona Tranquada is a Senior User Experience Specialist for the MathWorks. Fiona has a M.S. in Human Factors in Information Design from Bentley University and a B.A. in Professional Writing and Creative Writing from Carnegie Mellon. She is secretary for the Boston UXPA chapter, a member of Boston CHI, and is a co-author of “The Moderator’s Survival Guide: Handling Common, Tricky, and Sticky Situations in User Research.”(Morgan Kaufmann, 2013).

During my time serving on the UXPA Boston Board, I’ve focused on helping  the organization run more efficiently. As Secretary, I’ve captured decisions made by the Board and ensured that our decisions and thought process are accessible and actionable as time goes on. This reduces time spent re-hashing previous conversations and lets us focus on the core mission of UXPA Boston: supporting UX professionals with all levels of experience. I hope to continue playing this role on the Board in the future.
