Design Thinking: is it a product design gamechanger or an industry buzzword?
Many have touted the successes of using Design Thinking to reimagine products and industries. Others have thrown it on the pile of fancy management consulting fads. Join us for an evening of lively discussion and activities, and possibly make up your own mind.
As designers, we inherently know that understanding customer need is crucial to coming up with impactful solutions. Design Thinking, at it’s core, is a mindset and set of tools that allow us to explain the design process to non-designers and bring them into a creative space.
Please join us for this highly interactive, hands-on workshop. You will experience; gaining empathy for your customer, synthesizing learnings, building, testing and refining a prototype… all in an hour… and they said it couldn’t be done…
Jason Goodwin is the head of Human Centered Design at Eastern Bank and has been a designer in the financial industry for over 15 years. He has been teaching Design Thinking since 2012 and was organizer of the Boston Design Thinking Meetup. He has spoken at conferences and run workshops at Stanford, MIT, Northeastern, Babson & General Assembly.
