Education Initiative Updates and Idea Market Sessions
The UPA Boston board is supporting an education initiative for the year 2012. Our goal is to develop materials that will be useful for educating non-practitioners as to why usability is valuable and how it can be used effectively in today’s business environments.
Volunteers for the initiative have identified 4 topics that they’d like to create materials for, and now we’re looking for your help to flesh out additional ideas on what should be covered and how these materials should be delivered! To gather your ideas, we’re going to set up each topic as an Idea Market.
Each of the 4 topics will have a different space in the room, and will have a facilitator who will be leading a discussion around the topic. We’ll introduce the initiative and how the rest of the session will work, and then meeting attendees will be free to move around the room on their own to visit each station. After about 45 minutes, we will regroup and each facilitator will briefly summarize some of the key points that came up during the session. We’ll also provide information for anyone who is interested in volunteering for the initiative.
Join us for a unique, highly interactive monthly meeting!
Location / Getting There
The meeting will be held at Bentley University, in the Smith Academic Technology Center, room 122. Please be sure to print the parking pass and place it in your car’s windshield – with this pass, you can park in non-visitor spaces.
