UXPA Boston Board Nominee: Kevin Hatchoua

Biography

My name is Kevin and I am a catalyst for change, and a firm believer in empowering children, expanding opportunities, and reducing disparities between communities. Ever since moving to the United States from Cameroon as a child, I have been fueled by the desire to make a positive impact in the world.

During my time at Mass.gov, I focused my energy on revolutionizing the online interactions between constituents and their government. By simplifying processes and enhancing accessibility, I aimed to create a seamless experience for all.

Now, as a Senior User Experience Designer at Red Hat, I am on a mission to elevate the end-to-end user journey across the open hybrid cloud. With my expertise in User Experience Design, research, product analytic strategy, Data visualization, ServiceNow administration, and asset management, I am dedicated to transforming experiences and driving engagement.

But my passion extends beyond the professional realm. As a board member for Virtual Activism and Afrihope, two remarkable nonprofit organizations, I champion the use of digital technologies to empower marginalized communities, foster equal rights, embrace diversity, promote inclusion, and nurture long-term professional development.

With a relentless commitment to technology-driven solutions and a profound sense of purpose, I bring a unique perspective to every endeavor. I am resolute in my pursuit of making a profound and lasting impact, one that shapes a more inclusive and equitable society.

Why do you want to join the UXPA Boston

I want to join the UXPA Boston Board to help strengthen the local UX community, foster mentorship, and drive accessibility and inclusion in design. With experience in government, open-source, and nonprofit work, I bring a unique perspective on creating meaningful, user-centered solutions. My passion for empowering others; through mentoring, advocacy, and technology, aligns with UXPA’s mission, and I’m eager to contribute to its growth and impact.

Through these experiences, I’ve seen firsthand how design and technology can make real impact, and I’m excited to bring this perspective to UXPA Boston.
